A Guide To Finding Healthcare Multibaggers
How to use The Clinical Edge

Here’s a quick overview of what I do and how to navigate everything.
What I Look For
I spend my time in healthcare microcaps – small, often overlooked companies where the market’s perception lags reality.
Most investors avoid this space. Too volatile. Too complex. Too many failed trials.
But it’s where I’ve found the most interesting opportunities.
A $50 million biotech that solves a real clinical problem doesn’t become a $60 million company. It can become a $5 billion company. That kind of optionality is rare in public markets.
Why Healthcare?
Healthcare operates on its own timeline.
Clinical trials don’t pause for recessions. FDA decisions don’t wait for bull markets. Cancer doesn’t care about interest rates.
While other sectors rise and fall with the macro, the science keeps advancing. The regulatory catalysts keep hitting.
I find that interesting.
How I Think About It
When I’m researching a company, I’m looking for a few things:
Multiple shots on goal – Pipeline diversity, platform technologies, or business lines that create more than one way to win
Real problems worth solving – Genuine unmet medical need with willing-to-pay customers
Management with skin in the game – Founders and executives who own meaningful equity
Narrative dislocation – Where the market’s story seems to lag scientific or business reality
Adequate runway – Enough cash to reach the next meaningful catalyst
Not every company I write about will work out. That’s the nature of this space. But I try to focus on situations where the potential reward appears meaningfully larger than the risk.
What I Publish
Each month, I share 2-4 deep-dive write-ups on healthcare microcaps I find interesting – the business, the science, the catalysts, the risks.
Plus ongoing coverage as things develop – earnings, trial results, regulatory decisions, management changes.
